Is There a Difference Between Non-Renewable and Renewable Energy Sources? The answer to that is yes, The difference being that non-renewable energy sources are limited. Once we have used them all up there will be no way to get them back. Does this mean there is a world power crisis? The answer to that question is also yes. We are using our non- renewable energy sources at a rapid rate, a rate that increases daily. Our non-renewable energy sources include, fossil fuels (crude oil), coal, natural gas, nuclear power, and yes even water, water is used to drive turbines to create electricity. So what types of renewable energy sources do we have? There are two main renewable sources of energy. First we have the sun. The sun can provide us with solar power solutions at home. Then we also have the wind. The wind can provide us with wind power solutions at home. These two renewable sources of energy are free to all of us and are environmentally friendly (the don’t pollute). It may be a long time before we can gain indecency from the non-reusable sources of energy but if everyone chips in we can extend the amount of time that our non-renewable energy sources will last. One thing we can do is to look into ways on how to save power at home. There are many inexpensive energy solutions out there, we just need to find them and implement them. If everyone would take a closer look at the world’s energy situation, they would see that there is a definite need to start incorporating the use of the renewable energy sources in our everyday lives. If even a small number of us were to start using these renewable energy sources we could make our present non-renewable sources last a lot longer. If we can increase the amount of people that use solar and wind power until eventual everyone is using them we would become independent of the non-renewable sources and would be able to control our own power needs. After all, the sun and wind are free. The biggest difference between non-renewable energy sources and renewable energy sources should be obvious non-renewable will run out whereas renewable will last until the sun burns out. Think about it, we will be living back in the dark ages very soon if we do nothing. Do your part start using solar and wind power and help the environment.
